Arnaud Houet and Céline Pottier have co-written with other specialists the publication “Borgtocht, een rechtsfiguur met veel facetten”.
This book focuses on the essential elements of the legal form called “security (borgtocht/cautionnement)”.
More specificly, this publication defines fundamental principles, conditions of existence and rules of evidence of the security. Moreover the relations between the different protagonists of this contract (principal creditor, principal debtor and guarantor), their rights and duties and the consequences of their agreements are also analysed. Finally emphasis is given to some aspects of private international law.
